## What are auto-messages?

Have you ever had a moment of pure brilliance? I'm talking the red sea parts and you can see the light. Well sometimes it happens and we wish that we could go back to that moment in time and relive it. That's where templates come in. Create magic moments for your supporters all the time using templates! 

## What auto-messages are available! ✨ 

We have six auto-messages available. 

### Welcome Message

Your first chance to make a good stewardship impression. Whenever your supporters sign-up assuming they have registered their phone number they will automatically receive this message.

**What are some first time texting best practices?**

**1. Start on the Right Foot**

You wouldn't propose to a love interest before getting to know them, would you? In the same way, don't  expect donors to commit to donating before establishing your genuine interest in your relationship with them. Your first few texts should be simple appreciation messages. Show your donors what it means to be a part of your giving community. Establish that you are on the same team by showing them the work that's being done towards your cause. What THEY have helped create. We recommend starting with a simple "Thank you" for their support. They don't have to be past donors, but if they are, make sure to thank them for that too.
